Welp, I'm gonna have to wait until next Friday to fix my blog. Don't have the extra mula right now. Just paid the rent, sent some money to my sis for my nephew's b-day present (we are all going in on this cool ass Jeep for him, it's battery operated, and he can drive it!! sooo cool), paid some other bills. Now I'm broke as all hell. Sorry Sara, but your just gonna have to look at the ugliness for a few more days.

Hmmm I think this world is truely going coo-coo for coco-puffs....I think I should stop reading the news. Or do you even call this news? Arrested for wearing a "peace" t-shirt??? Ummm okkkkkk.....
Ok, I'm about two minutes away from taking my toys and going HOME. Gosh damn I knew there was a reason I woke up this morning, and said..Nooooo noooo please don't make me go to work today, I promise I'll be good. But no, had to go. So here I am, in hell, wishin' it was 4 o' clock. Gotta be 4pm somewhere on this Earth...right? Oh well, such is life.
I guess it's not so bad, I mean today is like my Monday, but it's actually Wednesday, gotta love that. Now only two more days to go. Weeeee
A ex-coworker of mine is getting married in August. And let me tell you how fucking great it is to be on the other end of the stick this time. She is sooo stressin' out. Family is trippin out, her maid of honor isn't helping out with stuff, on and on. Typical stuff. I went thru it too. And not just once....TWICE in one year. Oh yeah....twice in one year. To the same guy!! Ok ok...let me explain it was like this:
My husbands family is very catholic, especially his Grandparents. He is extremely close to his grandparents, and wouldn't hurt them for the world. We had gone over to his Grandparents house one day to give the good news of us finally getting married (we've been together for 11 years), they both were so happy. Grandma wanted some details, what church, who's the priest...yada yada. "well grandma it's like this...we are going to just go to Tahoe, save some money, and have a really small wedding". The look on her face was horrible. She says "well if that's how it's going to be, then I'm not going to witness a mortal sin". "ummmmm WHAT?", I said. Grandpa just changed the subject, and we left it at that.
Needless to say she really put a damper on things. We left and were talking on the way home and I was basically saying "ok fuck it, we don't need to get married then". "I'm NOT getting married for everyone else, this is MY wedding", on and on, I was so upset. I really love Grandma a lot, but damn that was so hurtful of her to say. So the more we thought about it, and talked it over, I just basically said, "look what's important to me is having friends there, and me getting to wear my dress, so whatever you think we should do is fine".
We came up with a plan of us getting married at the local catholic church, having just grandma/grandpa, and mom's/dad's, etc. come. NO one else. Just wham bam done. Make Grandma happy, now she can die happy. I didn't even wear my full blown dress, just a nice ivory one. My man wore his suit, no tux. See, to me I was giving in, but not totally. I was never baptized, and the priest said that as long as one of us was Catholic he would marry us. I respected Grandma's wishes, she was just caring for us and wanted the best for us, I know thats what she was doing, she's just oldschool catholic, can't blame her for all she knows. But THEN we would have "our" wedding and reception the next month at my man's parents house, have some friends bands play, just make it a casual garden wedding.
To make a long story short, that's what we did. In September we got legally married at the church, then in October we had "our" wedding my husbands parents house, we had 3 bands, I got to wear my dress, even though legally we were already married, since most of the family and friends weren't at the church thingy, we had a friend marry us (he's a ordained minister, reformed drug addict/parole), all our friends were there (well most of them, missed ya Kim). Only thing that sucked was my dad giving me away (over time you'll learn about my father). Yeah I thought about it, actually wished something would of happened so he wouldn't have that honor, but oh well it's over now. THANK GOD it's over.
Now, we get screwed on our taxes. We don't own a home yet, or have kids, so up the butt we take it from Uncle Fucking Sam. Asshole. One saving grace is we didn't have to pay, were getting a tad back. But still. The whole fucking tax issue is a crock of shit.
And further more...what in the fucking HELL is going on with the Gas prices. Holy Shittery man....I know I know, it's cuz of the whole war thing but FUCK. See, Mr. Bush...the only fucking reason were going to war, is so you and your friends can get richer and richer.....yep War = Very high gas prices.....War = Lot's and lot's of money for the oil fuckers....like Mr. Bush and his friends....bet they are laughing there asses all the way to the bank.
Speaking of War, did you see what Chrissie Hynde from the Pretenders had to say during her concert....kinda whacked if you ask me. Funny how one person can make the rest of us look so fucking stupid...."Bring it on! Give us what we deserve!", Ummmm "We"?? You got a fart in your pocket? What's this "We" Shit?
Monday, March 3
I love having Monday's off. So fucking great. Best day in the world to have off. Well any day is nice to have off, but Monday's take the cake. Nothing on the tube right now, until tonight. Monster Garage at 8pm, I forgot what they are building tonight?? Hmmm...no biggie gonna be coolio anyhoo..
We went to Santa Cruz last night, to Streetlight records, got some CD's, then walked down to Pacific St. Cookie shop, got a couple of the most awesome cookies, then walked across the street to Borders Books..the man and I got some Magazines, actually he did. For some reason I didn't see anything I liked. But then we get home, and I say "so what did you get at Borders anyway"?...he gives me this Art Magazine, and said "dunno this just looked cool for some reason". WHOAA it is hella cool. It's called "Juxtapoz". If you like artists like "Robert Williams", "RK Sloan", or "Todd Schorr", you'll fuckin' dig this magazine. It's very cool. Very twisted artwork. I can totally see myself collecting like say Robert Williams paintings. And get very hooked up in the whole thing. Probably best I don't, those paintings can get very expensive. But damn they are cool. Just once I'd like to have a signed and numbered Robert Williams painting. Then a RK Sloan. Then...then....

Ok I admit it, I was skeptical of the van when my husband first bought it. I'm thinking, ok $200. Why? What's wrong with it. We took it to his dad's shop, they checked it out, got it to smog, we got it all registered, tagged and legal. And you know...it's not all that bad. In fact, it's fun. It's a 1980 Chevy Van, without windows in the back. Not too huge, kinda looks like a little stubby hot wheel. Primmered a dark grey. With punk rock stickers on the back and all over the inside. He bought it from his buddies that have a band. About 3 of them used to own it, and couldn't gather the funds together to get it registered, so they said that's why they sold it so cheap. Just had to get rid of it.
We took it out fishing/camping Friday night. Loaded the back with the air mattress, the ice chest, some munchies, fed the dog and cat, and hit the road. We just went over the hill to the Reservoir. We found a spot that we liked for first thing in the morning, and parked there. It was hella cold too, but we got this killer sleeping bag, and during the night we both got HOT. It was so comfy, and relaxing. We spent the whole day just "watching the poles" on Saturday afternoon. It was great, we both had some very well needed time together......so yeah I like the van now.
